Swegon GOLD offers a perfect air handling unit for all types of apartment buildings meeting all the requirements for airflow, draft, noise levels, and energy efficiency.
Preconfigured GOLD air handling units have been test-run at the factory and each unit includes a factory-installed automation system (sensors, software, wiring). The user interface is clear and easy to use, and it can be accessed via the unit’s local control panel, a computer, or a mobile device.
An open automation system enables data to be integrated into a Building Management System (BMS). with standard communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP or BACnet.

Integrated cooling
COOL DX
The COOL DX cooling unit is an integrated accessory designed for the GOLD air handling unit. All components are housed within the unit. The COOL DX can be connected directly to the GOLD unit or installed separately in connection with the air handling unit.
The COOL DX is based on a closed circuit with a low refrigerant charge.
Cooling integrated into the air handling unit is simple to design, easy to install, and a cost-effective investment for cooling apartments.
The GOLD air handling unit comes equipped with built-in cooling functions for controlling and regulating the COOL DX unit.

Swegon CASA Central cooker hoods are connected to a centralized ventilation system. They remove cooking air from the apartment, preventing excessive heat, humidity, or odors from being recirculated back into the indoor air.
Cooker hoods with high capture efficiency remove more fumes even at lower airflow rates. This results in improved indoor air quality with reduced fan power, lower energy consumption, and quieter operation.
Whenever air is extracted through the cooker hood, it is essential to ensure an adequate supply of replacement air to avoid excessive negative pressure. In Swegon’s ventilation system, this compensation happens automatically. Whenever the cooker hood’s cooking mode is activated the system then automatically increases the supply air volume to the apartment

Balanced ventilation
CHB
CHB damper unit compensates for the negative pressure in the apartment caused by the cooker hood’s boost function and general exhaust (base airflow) by opening the control damper, which changes the duct pressures within the system. The centralized air handling unit maintains constant duct pressure by increasing airflow when it detects pressure changes. The CHB damper opens and closes automatically based on the flap position signal from the cooker hood.
When the air handling unit is controlled by airflow rather than duct pressure the system can be controled with a boost calculation module. The CHB damper's status information is transmitted via the boost calculation module to the GOLD air handling unit, which immediately increases the airflow into the duct system as needed when boost is activated.
