Indoor climate and sustainability
The indoor climate solutions we provide to buildings world-wide have a direct and indirect impact on the environment and people. So far we have described how product transparency is increased by using EPDs, how small things can make a difference in the pursuit of a circular economy and, in the film, how a people perspective of sustainability is of essential relevance.
Considering people in the context of developing, manufacturing and designing solutions for ventilation, heating and cooling, is to look at the outcome of a good indoor climate. Generally we spend about 90% of our lives indoors and we breathe 20 times more air than we eat food each day. A healthy and comfortable indoor climate is crucial for productivity and strategic thinking as well as for well-needed rest and overall well-being.

Green building certifications
At Swegon we have both knowledge and experience from working with projects that aim for one or more of the available national and/or international building standards. Products, services and expertise has been provided to a wide range of customers, and properties have been certified according to the top levels of BREEAM, LEED and WELL or built in line with the Passive House standard. Our HVAC-solutions contribute in a number of ways, perhaps is the comfortable and healthy indoor climate the most obvious but we also deliver on aspects of e.g. energy-efficiency.
