Guide: A choice between air and water

This guide will explain why there, in some cases, is no clear cut between air and water in regards to creating comfortable indoor climates.

A number of choices have to be made when designing an HVAC-solution for a comfortable indoor climate. Choosing between air and water for heating and/or cooling is one of the most critical decisions that has to be made early in the process. It is easy to initially opt for a hydronic system considering how much energy water can carry compared to air, and the limited space such system needs in a building. However, availability of water for this purpose can be critical and the investment cost is often a decisive parameter. The choice needs to be made carefully, and hopefully this guide can help along the way.
