Swegon offers a spare part solution that updates older GOLD units to today's controls and functionality. This extends the service life of the unit, while minimising the environmental impact.

The update is offered as a refurb kit and is managed on-site. The installation is quick and only marginally disrupts day-to-day operations, avoiding major interventions in the building.

Suitable for GOLD air handling units delivered between 1996 - 2005:

GOLD version 3/4 size 4 and 5 (1996-2001)
GOLD version A, size 11-32 (2001-2002)
GOLD version B, size 11-52 (2002-2005)

How is it done?

The Refurb kit consists of a set of components needed to update the controls. A Swegon technician or other representative inspects the the air handling unit on-site and determines if/what refurbishment is appropriate. The technician then carries out installation and commissioning.

The job is quick, does not interfere with daily operations and does not require major interventions in the building.

RE:vitalise - extending the product's service life

RE:vitalise is one of the three pillars within the RE:3 framework. RE:vitalise means that products get an extended lifespan, by making component updates on site and adding modern functionality to the products.

Through easy replacement of key components and by the means of software updates, the GOLD unit is given a prolonged service life and is actually smarter than it was initially intended to be.
