New for GOLD/SLIVER C PX40+, PX50+ and PX60+

Updated icons in design view on GOLD and SILVER C
To facilitate all choices made on functional parts in AHU design, we have now introduced new detailed icons for fans, filters, and heat exchangers. These icons will display following:
Fan: Size and motor option
Filter: Selected filter class
Hex: Performance and type of coating
Replacing standard supply air bag filters

During the autumn/winter we will replace our standard supply air bag filters ePM1 50% to a better grade, ePM1 60% The filter now introduced as standard has a better filtration rate (60% instead of 50%) and also a lower pressure drop.
The new filter media is green while the previous one is white, thats way it is easy to notice the difference.
In AHUD this filter has been available as one of the optional calculations for quite some time, but now we step by step will change over in our deliveries. To avoid waste the change will be done size by size of the different GOLD/SILVER C units. Consequently during this period some units will have the old filter and some will have the new better filter.
In AHUD we remain on the old filter until all AHU sizes are changed in the factory, since we that way will deliver filters as current standard or better during the transition period. When the change is completed in the factory AHUD will be updated using the new filters as standard. |

PassivHaus Updates for CASA and GOLD/SILVER C
|
Certified CASA Units Now Available in AHU Design CASA units with PHI certification are now selectable as PassivHaus certified in AHU-Design.
Updated PHI Compliance Check
The compliance logic now reflects PHI’s interpretation of the design point when a unit can be guaranteed to meet the performance metrics outlined in its certificate.
The following criteria are now validated when “Calculate PassivHaus” is selected:
Airflow Range: Must be within the certified range. External Pressure: Must not exceed certified limits. Formula for determining external pressure of AHU reviewed and updated. Flow Balance: Supply vs. Exhaust airflow balance is now required (within ±10% tolerance). Filter Quality: Non-compliant filters with certification requirements are disabled for calculating PassivHaus compliance.
IMPORTANT! Due to review of the compliance criteria above, some AHUs that previously passed the PHI compliance check may now fail due to the stricter validation, most likely due to new Flow Balance criteria.
