GOLD with All year comfort

The All Year Comfort function was designed for regulating the primary water circuit for cooling and/or heating to climate beams, perimeter climate systems and more.

Main functionality

The All Year Comfort function for GOLD regulates the secondary water circuit based on outdoor temperature. The function keeps the cooling or heating water in the connected cooling and the heating system constantly at the required temperature.

By enabling one of a number of different compensation functions, the current temperature setpoints can be influenced by external circumstances. Examples of these compensation functions are:

  • Outdoor compensation
  • Room compensation
  • Night compensation
  • Dew point compensation

How it works

The flow chart above shows the schematics of the All Year Comfort function. A couple of things to consider:

  • IQ Logic gives water setpoint temperature via All year comfort to chilled beam/radiator, based on outdoor temperature according to a defined curve
  • AYC controls pump (on/off) and valve to keep water setpoint
  • It is possible to adjust water temperature set point based on room temperature
  • It is possible to adjust water temperature set point based on schedule (night, weekend)
  • It is possible to increase water temperature to avoid condensation when high humidity indoors

Technical details

  • GOLD measures the outdoor temperature (-5°C) and sends a set value (45°C) to AYC based on a curve (adjustable in IQ-logic)
  • AYC controls the pump (on/off) and the valve (0-10V) to keep the water temperature to the chilled beams (or radiator) at set value (45°C).
  • If the RH and temp in the extract air (cooling mode) creates a risk of condensation, GOLD increases the set temperature (example 14 °C => 17 °C)
