Floor convectors in a timeless design
The floor outlets integrated in the museum premises were provided with specially treated DSM structures. Due to the applied poly-spectral oxidation process, the grids appear in a bronze, which offers the viewer an interplay with the spectral colors.

A close collaboration with architects
The multi-purpose hall was built in 1969 according to the plans of civil engineer Ulrich Müther and has been a listed building since 1998. Renovation work on the building officially began in December 2019. The Hyparschale has been available for use as an event hall again since mid-2024.
As part of the refurbishment, the building was equipped with a large number of SLT components. These included floor displacement diffusers, slot diffusers and swirl diffusers.
Thanks to the close collaboration with the architects von Gerkan, Marg and Partners (gmp, Berlin), our diffusers fit perfectly into the architecture.

SWIRL DIFFUSERS IN COMBINATION WITH THERMAL ELEMENTS
For the baggage claim area in terminal 2 of the Frankfurt airport, 520 ceiling swirl diffusers of the type SKD-QZ were combined with thermal elements. The diffusers were installed in this combination for the first time due to technical and architectural requirements. The diffusers satisfy the aesthetic demands of the architect as well as the needs of the passengers for a comfortable room atmosphere.

Impressive building with fluent structures
For this impressive building with its spectacular architecture consisting of mostly fluent structures we were commissioned to manufacture more than one thousand meters of stainless steel structures. Made in many different widths, in straight, bent and twisted designs that were produced in conformance to the building’s structure parallel to the glass façade from the floor up to the curved ceiling structures, each individual grille system is unique and required great designing and manufacturing competence.

A custom solution with a minimal mounting height
In order to meet the requirements of the expansion of the Städel Museum we developed a custom profile for installation in floors/walls with a minimal mounting height of 32 mm. Overall about 1000 meters of active as well as inactive systems were installed.
The newly developed CPD slot diffuser functions next to its excellent ventilation ability as an architectural design element that can give massive walls a touch of elegance with its backwards flowing finish as well as the recessed anti-dirt edges. No possibly irritating nozzles or slot outlines are visible – except for the shapely, aerodynamic Coandă outline.

A special facade solution
The New National Gallery Berlin, built in 1965-68, is one of the landmarks of modern architecture and was included in the list of monuments of the State of Berlin. For the recent refurbishment of the New National Gallery (NNG) from 2015 - 2021, SLT was allowed to contribute by supplying new or modified revision of existing and listed ventilation components. Primarily, however, we were able to use our know-how and with the help of our in-house laboratory to develop a facade covering suitable for a museum, which does justice to the climatic requirements of the listed building by the architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. It was necessary to use an effective segment jet nozzle system to counteract the drop in cold air on the 8 m high glass façade typical of the NNG and to reduce possible condensation on the single-pane glazing on cold winter days. In this way, exhibited art is protected from temperature and humidity fluctuations, which can otherwise cause serious damage.
