Specialised, bespoke, customised, these terms are often used to describe products adapted for a specific purpose and context. In regards to indoor climate solutions, this can range from small modifications through to the development of completely new products.
Moving away from standard solutions still means similar considerations as when selecting standard products: functionality, cost, timeline and aesthetics are all important factors. However, communication between customer, planner and architect is essential when opting for specialised products, as is laboratory testing. Both these are critical to verify a customised product’s ability to meet set requirements in terms of functionality, performance and look. Specialised HVAC solutions are developed as an iterative process, with adjustments and testing continuing until the special solution is on par with all requirements, including the aesthetic visions.
