Maximum comfort in a compact design
PARAGON comprises 1-way air distribution comfort modules (chilled beams) developed to create a stable and comfortable indoor climate in hotel rooms, care facility rooms, small offices and other environments where high comfort and low noise levels are important. The product range includes both ceiling-mounted and wall-mounted designs to meet different installation requirements and building layouts.
PARAGON combines efficient cooling, heating and ventilation in a compact design, with targeted air distribution for optimum comfort within the occupancy zone. The products are available in a range of lengths and configurations to suit a wide variety of applications and project requirements.
Flow Control for optimised indoor environment
Having the full airflow range available for each product size simplifies project design and future layout changes, as airflow can be adjusted using a positioning lever.
In Variable Air Volume (VAV) and Demand Controlled Ventilation (DCV) systems, this feature helps maintain high induction throughout the operating airflow range. This can increase cooling capacity at lower airflows by up to 40% compared with conventional nozzles.
With Swegon’s integrated control systems (REACT, AWC and WISE) the control mechanism automatically compensates for pressure variations in the duct system, ensuring that the desired airflow is maintained.
Discreet comfort with maximum flexibility
PARAGON is available in both ceiling and wall-mounted configurations to accommodate different installation requirements and building layouts. Its flexible design makes it particularly well suited to hotel rooms, care facility rooms and small offices where comfort, aesthetics and easy maintenance access are important considerations.
When mounted in the ceiling, PARAGON is often installed above the entrance door to the hotel room, allowing supply air to be distributed along the ceiling and into the occupancy space. At the same time, room air is induced through the return air grille, creating efficient air mixing with an even temperature distribution and good air circulation throughout the room.
For projects where maintenance access and duct connections need to be located outside the room, the PARAGON range also offers wall-mounted solutions with access from adjacent areas such as corridors. This simplifies installation, operation and maintenance while providing a clean, discreet and visually appealing appearance within the room.
Both the supply- and return air grilles are available in six standard colours, or in a custom colour and gloss to suit project requirements.
Flexibility when installing and maintaining
PARAGON has been developed to simplify installation and deliver a high-quality finish, particularly in plasterboard ceilings and other environments where installation tolerances may be limited. The products feature adjustable supply and return air couplings, making it easier to adapt the installation on site and accommodate minor variations in ductwork routing and installation.
Both the supply air and return air grilles can be adjusted and are easily secured with screws on either side, providing a stable and flexible installation with an improved fit against walls and ceilings.
In hotel and healthcare environments where textiles are handled frequently, some dust accumulation may occur in the return air spigot over time. PARAGON has therefore been designed with easy access for cleaning and maintenance. The return air grille can be removed quickly and easily for vacuum cleaning and maintenance when required, helping to maintain performance and support good hygiene throughout the product’s service life.
Circularity at the core
RE:3 is a concept from Swegon focused on circularity, focusing on three key actions: RE:duce, RE:use and RE:vitalise. The PARAGON family has been developed in line with these principles to support long-term, resource-efficient choices in both new-build and refurbishment projects, with the aim of reducing the embodied carbon of buildings.
- RE:duce: PARAGON is manufactured using recycled and renewably produced steel, helping to reduce the product's carbon footprint compared with conventionally produced steel.
- RE:vitalise: PARAGON is prepared for future upgrades to Variable Air Volume (VAV) or Demand Controlled Ventilation (DCV) solutions through dedicated kits designed to support future digital refurbishments.
The design of PARAGON enables components such as heat exchangers and control equipment to be replaced without the need to replace the entire product. This makes it straightforward to reuse PARAGON in both new-build and refurbishment projects.
Different control platforms
The level of activity in an office or conference room varies during the day. To maintain an optimal indoor environmental quality throughout the day, the indoor climate needs to be operated to the actual needs. This will improve the well-being and performance of the buildings occupants and reduce overall energy consumption.
PARAGON can be configured with different control options to fit most building requirements.
PARAGON
PARAGON and PARAGON Wall, in their standard versions, are equipped with a positioning lever for quick and easy adjustment of a constant airflow through the slot openings.
The products can be integrated in the WISE system as a constant airflow beam with optional control of supply water valves.
REACT Paragon
REACT Paragon and REACT Paragon Wall feature variable airflow control that continuously compensates for pressure variations in the system.
They support Modbus RTU, BACnet, and 0(2)-10 VDC for easy integration with building management systems (BMS).
PARAGON AWC
PARAGON AWC and PARAGON Wall AWC (Air and Water control) for demand controlled indoor climate.
Depending on the room requirement, PARAGON AWC and PARAGON Wall AWC will regulate water valves and adjust the airflow for an optimal indoor environmental quality.
WISE Paragon
WISE Paragon and WISE Paragon Wall offer unique demand controlled ventilation with full wireless integration into Swegon’s WISE system.
WISE is a complete system comprising all the products required for the indoor climate, including a smart control system and an intuitive user interface.
The products can also be delivered with additional, factory-fitted control equipment, such as WISE SMA and WISE dew point monitoring.
citizenM Copenhagen
A hotel with IEQ in focus
citizenM Copenhagen is situated in a historic building in the heart of Copenhagen. However, the experience and appearance of the hotel and its rooms is far from historical. The hotel is new, fresh and modern. The high-tech rooms allow guests to customise their stay exactly to their needs and wishes.
