Experience and quality

More than five decades of redefining excellence in air handling solutions. Every GRAND system is a masterpiece, engineered to deliver superior efficiency, uncompromising reliability, and outstanding technical performance for the most demanding environments. Our approach combines deep expertise with cutting-edge technology. Each unit is crafted with meticulous attention to detail. Rigorous testing ensures that every solution meets the highest standards of quality. Driven by innovation and a passion for perfection, we don’t just build air handling units - we create solutions that set benchmarks for performance and sustainability.

Highly efficient heat recovery systems

GRAND includes advanced heat-recovery solutions designed with multi-stage counterflow heat exchanger configuration that exceeds Erp thermal recovery efficiency. The run-around-coil system with a specialised EcoFin design and optional EcoFin+ oval tubes provide around 27 % higher heat transfer efficiency and reduce air-side pressure loss by roughly 45 % versus conventional designs. Control-regulated intermediate circuits precisely balance airflow and water mass flow, optimising heat recovery based on equal heat-capacity flow rates. GRAND offers high performance in hygienic applications where leakage and moisture transfer must be minimised.

APPLICATIONS

The units are suitable for most types of applications, but especially excel in demanding and critical applications. There are also several special variants available for the most demanding applications, see below.

Pharma

Designed for pharmaceutical environments, clean rooms, and other applications where air quality and hygiene are critical. GRAND units feature smooth surfaces, rounded corners, and no internal protrusions for easy cleaning and maximum hygiene. Built to the air-tightness standard L2 (EN 1886), they ensure exceptional performance and safety.

Key highlights:

  • Optimised for washability and hygiene
  • Safe and easy maintenance
  • Leakage testing available for individual units
  • Full compliance with VDI 6022

Hospital

Hygienic design that meets requirement in all hospital environments, from operating theatres to patient hotels. Each unit is designed to the highest standard of hygiene and safety. Easy to clean and maintain. Units can preferably be delivered with a hydronic heat recovery system to avoid any risk of internal leakage. Designed to minimise internal chemical and bacteriological contamination, these units ensure the highest standards of hygiene and safety. Key features:

  • Accurate quality and temperature control
  • Reliability, easy maintenance, and operational safety
  • Superior washability and hygiene

Clean room

When hygiene is critical, GRAND offers uncompromising solutions for cleanroom environments. Our modular systems are engineered to meet the strictest standards, including DIN 1946, VDI 6022, and EN norms, ensuring absolute reliability and safety. With smooth, easy-to-clean surfaces and a design that prevents contamination, GRAND units ensure optimal air quality for semiconductor production, pharmaceutical facilities, laboratories and food processing plants.

  • Tested and approved according to DIN, VDI, and EN standards.
  • Smooth surfaces and removable components for maximum hygiene.
  • Filtration stages with absolute filters
  • Redundancy ventilation to reduce downtime during maintenance

Atex

GRAND ventilation units can be customised for use in explosive environments up to category Ex II 2G IIB+Hâ‚‚ T4, both indoor and outdoor. The systems are designed for zone 1, where explosive gas atmospheres may occur regularly. The units are developed to maintain a high level of safety even in the event of foreseeable disturbances or faults, meeting the requirements of the current ATEX directive.
