Apartment-specific air handling units

In apartment-specific ventilation each apartment has it's own air handling unit which allows an individual adjustment to residents needs.

CASA air handling units offer a wide range of installation possibilites from kitchen and bathroom to attic and suspended ceiling mounting options. Units are equipped with a highly energy-efficient rotary or counterflow heat exchanger and reach Ecodesign Energy class A/A+ with selected models Passive House certified. CASA units come with integrated demand control (RH standard, CO2 and VOC available) and a smart-phone application for controlling ventilation and monitoring indoor air quality.

CUBE offers a unique residential solution for apartment-specific ventilation with air handlinh units palced centrally in te roof. Cental placement saves space in the living area and makes maintenance and repair possible without accesing the appartment. It also enables lower installation costs due to quick mounting and less ducting required.

freeAir is a wall mounted heat recovery ventilation unit that doesn't require any incoming air ducts. This minimises the number of ventilation ducts and hence the amount of planning and construction work. The unit is Ecodesign energyclass A+ and Passive House certified.

Cooling and heating modules

CASA CLIMATE CCF is a waterborne comfort module that in apartment-specific system is connected to CASA air handling unit and the buildings hydronic circuit. It provides fresh supply air, heating and cooling to the apartment. Each apartment can have several room units depending on the need. CCF uses the heating and cooling energy from ground source or district heating/cooling to provide energy-efficient climatization with individual temperature control for each room.

Wall mounted outdoor inlets and outlets for fresh / exhaust air

WGI/WGO outdoor air diffuser for the intake of fresh air and the discharge of exhaust air are especially well-suited for apartment blocks and provides many advantages when planing and installing a ventilation system. Building costs decrease as no vertical ducts are required, releasing more building space for residential use. The outdoor air diffuser also works at low outdoor air temperatures.

Cooker hoods and pressure balance

Cooker hoods have an essential role in the air quality inside partments, as they remove odours, fumes, heat, humidity and airborne grease that are created in kitchen during cooking.

CASA Genius cooker hoods are connected to an apartment-specific CASA air handling unit. Their high odour catching capacity enables efficient fume removal with lower airflows resulting to lower energy consumption, with less pressure difference and lower noise.

When connected to a ventilation unit cooker hood uses the fan in the ventilation unit. Therefore there is no need for a separate fan or exhaust ducting for the kitchen hood. This also creates less sound in the kitchen compared to hoods that have fan inside of them. The ventilation mode can be controlled from the cooker hood (home/away/boost) and the ventilation unit automatically compensates for the extracted cooking air preventing negative pressure from occurring in the home.

CASA cooker hoods can be equipped with the Safera Safety stove guard system. The stove guard helps to protect against the usual kitchen accidents by preventing the cooker from being left unsupervised while in use and cutting the power if you forget to turn off the cooker.

Swegon’s acoustic products combine a high level of sound attentuation, low pressure drops and compact sizes. This together saves fan energy, easens the design phase of the project, allow easier installation and enables a scilent and comfortable indoor environment.
