Parallell control of air handling units

This function is used for controlling multiple GOLD air handling units in a duct system, this to make them operate as one. A user-friendly interface is used for easy monitoring and control.

Main functionality

In many buildings, it is easier to install several small units than one large unit. By splitting the airflow between a number of units, the designer has a greater flexibility in the use of space. In addition, small units are usually easier to install.

This parallell control of GOLD air handling units, called Multilogic, allows for up to four identical units to operate as one. Provided that they serve the same duct system. Multilogic has control functionalities of its own, but may be used in combination with WISE.

Intuitive and informative interface

By the means of one user-friendly interface, this functionality controls multiple units as if they were one. The interface provides an overview with aggregated operating data as well as group alarms. There is also an easy-to-use log graph as well as individual operating data for each unit.

Description

GOLD Multilogic has been designed to provide excellent multi-unit control for solutions based on demand controlled ventilation (DCV). However, is works well also with constant air volume (CAV) solutions.

  • SuperWISE is the hub that interacts with a group of GOLD air handling units, up to a total of four and all in the same duct system.
  • SuperWISE decides when an AHU should be in operation or not.
  • The air handling units are given different priorities and will start accordingly.

Technical details

Multilogic demands are set in SuperWISE.

Parallell control of air handling units allows for multiple units to be operated as one, and in the most energy efficient manner. Units operating as a group, minimises fan pressure increases.

Multilogic is intended for DCV solutions where airflow is adjusted according to the actual need inside the building.

Each GOLD unit needs to be provided with shut-off dampers on all four connecting ducts.
