Hydronic optimisation
Hydronic optimisation of multiple cooling/heating units, variable flow control, pumps and additional energy sources are optimised using the HYZER functionality.
Main functionality
This functionality is offered in three versions spanning from a fully embedded solution to a completely customised. Explained here:
Embedded, also called HYZER E combines Multilogic and FLOWZER for units with internal pumps.
Advanced, HYZER X (not shown in illustration), includes Multilogic + FLOWZER for hydronic solutions with centralised pumps. This solution comes with a dedicated external control box with a synoptic panel, allowing manual pump selection.
Custom, HYZER C (not shown in illustration), is a tailor made solution built from the outset of the project requirements.
Added value
- Offers integrated control of advanced systems with integrated of centralised pumps.
- Manages up to four pumps with inverters, and with capacity and rotation control.
- Allows for management, optimisation and monitoring of unit.
- Enables easy integration of additional devices such as backup sources, dry coolers, well pumps and/or third party products.
- Ensures system energy monitoring in terms of EER, COP, cooling/heating production etc.
Description
See further details here: Sequential control of cooling and heating and hydronic optimisation. Multiple site configuration is supported:
- Can be used for air/water, water/water or multifunctional units in any combination.
- Allows for various water distribution systems: including internal pumps or centralised, without inverter pumps, with up to 4 pumps where as many as two pumps can be backups.
- Enables primary and secondary or full primary systems, including variable flow management with temperature or pressure control. Can be utilised on one or more positions in the plant for measurements.
- Additional sources can be used as substitutes or be integrated.
Technical details
Embedded – HYZER E
A fully integrated solution with no need for additional hardware.
The main unit manages thermoregulation and variable flow by controlling pump speed of each unit. See sequential control of cooling and heating and hydronic optimisation for more details.
Advanced and custom - HYZER X and HYZER C
Not shown in illustration
Units are connected via Ethernet cable to a dedicated external control equipped with an Industrial PLC and an interface that provides a system overview. The HYZER panels communicates with the units by Modbus TCP/IP
Plant sensors for temperature and/or pressure are connected to the HYZER panel
Pump inverters and potential bypass valves are controlled in the HYZER panel
