If your building is equipped with chilled beams, façade units or any other waterborne cooling or heating solution, and you want an easy, automatic regulation of the supply water temperature, then All Year Comfort is an ideal and cost-effective solution. The function will automatically adjust water temperatures in the cooling system based on outdoor temperatures, indoor needs, and humidity. It helps you save energy, reduce costs and manual interventions and keeps your building comfortable for tenants.

All Year Comfort is ideal for buildings with changing occupancy and varying heating or cooling needs, such as offices, hotels, and schools. 

Main benefits

The All Year Comfort function is designed for controlling the primary water circuit for supplying chilled and/or heated water to chilled beams and perimeter climate systems. It ensures that the cooling equipment does not produce colder water than necessary. Activating All Year Comfort provides several important benefits for your building and its tenants.

Key benefits include: 
Energy efficiency: Controls water temperature based on demand (supply air cooling, room cooling, dehumidification), reducing unnecessary energy use.
Comfort: Dew point regulation helps prevent condensation on cold surfaces such as pipes, minimising the risk of water damage. 

How does it work?

All Year Comfort is managed via the GOLD control system IQlogic, but requires additional control system equipment (accessory). The function also requires an extract air humidity sensor (accessory) for dew-point regulation.

Here’s how it works:

  • Sensors measure supply water temperature, outdoor temperature and (optionally) room temperature and humidity.
  • The system automatically adjusts water temperatures and keeps it constant at the required setting in the connected cooling and heating systems respectively.
  • Special features, like night compensation for activation if premises remain unused during weekends and dew point control that help prevent condensation, are included. 

The control logic also manages pumps, valves, and airflow for safe and efficient operation. You can activate and set the function via the IQnavigator user interface.
