Legacy Passive House, Whistler, Canada 

1020 Legacy Way – Whistler, BC is a low-rise apartment building project built and certified to Passive House standards. The development consists of 24 rental apartment units to be operated by the Whistler Housing Authority.

Solution:

SWEGON GOLD SERIES Passive House Institute Certified HRV with a heat recovery ratio of +85% and integrated VRF heat pump system with COP of 4.4. SWEGON REACT DAMPERS are integrated into the duct system to provide individual control of suite ventilation, cooling and heating including a free cooling option.

Result

Swegon’s solution for Whistler Housing Authority saved 30% on the equipment capital cost compared to a decentralized ventilation solution. The VAV damper solution presents savings on operating cost, avoids over/under ventilation and provide cooling in each suite.
