Swegon supplies environment for French supermarket chain Casino’s new headquarters

The Casino group, one of France’s leading food retailers, has chosen Swegon to supply the indoor climate system for its new headquarters at Saint Etienne near Lyon.

This is one of the largest contracts won by Swegon in France. Casino has more than 10,000 outlets in 15 countries with a turnover of EUR 22.8 billion and more than 200,000 employees world-wide.

The 60,000 m2 building will contain 1700 chilled beams supplied by Swegon. Virginie Charles, who will manage the Casino installation says, “We won the contract because we were able to demonstrate the best knowledge of the chilled beam market in France and have impressive references here.”

Swegon has to meet special technical requirements for the Casino buildings such as the ability to manage very low air flows and to integrate electrical heating inside the chilled beam coils and this is the first project for Swegon to incorporate this technology.
