Salle 3000, France
Salle 3000 is a 3000-seat amphitheater at the Cité Internationale in Lyon and was opened in 2006. This special venue demanded for a ventilation system of the highest standard and aesthetically matching the surroundings.
Salle 3000 gives Lyons the opportunity to act as host to major international conferences. The project, designed by architect Renzo Piano, has a circular shape and a stepped spectator gallery the auditorium is reminiscent of a classical Roman amphitheatre. But where old amphitheatres were open to the air, Salle 3000, needed a ventilation system for a healthy an energy-efficient indoor climate. Swegon equipped the site with air terminal devices with graphite grey bases and perforated diffusers specially made to the specifications of the architect. Swegon’s climate systems provide conference delegates with fresh air at just the right temperature, so they can maintain concentration for longer.
